You'll have to explain "Forget bitter." How did this all come about.
On the campaign trail Obama made a comment about people who "bitterly cling to guns and religion." The quote was certainly taken out of context by the opposition to say "all people who are cling to guns and religion are bitter"... Thus, Scott's response to Obama's election.
We should, of course, never forget Romans 13:5 and 1 Pt. 2:13-14.
